This incredible unrestored mechanical hood ornament is truly one of the most desired hood ornaments for any serious collector. We have chosen not to restore is but can restore it if a customer so desires due to its incredible original condition. We have installed it on to a multi colored handcrafted base of Cocobolo hardwood from the Costa Rican jungles.

    Good Roads Hood Ornament

    This is rare original hood ornament given by AAA which was established in 1902. It would have been given to a member that showed excellent driving skills. This hood ornament’s era of manufacturing is from the 1920’s. It is finished in bright chrome with satin chrome letters. The bell in the base is finished in a highly polished copper finish. This is a great piece for any Southern California vintage car enthusiast.

    This was used on Franklin Cars between 1924 and 1928. The Franklin Automobile Company was located in Syracuse, New York. They made cars between 1902 to 1934. They were a relatively an expensive car and air cooled. The company was named after it’s founder H.H. Franklin.

    This is an original 1929 Packard Sliding Boy hood ornament. He has been refinished with incredible detail maintained and a chrome plated finish per original. We then installed him on an amazing handcrafted cherry wood base to replicate the original radiator cap.
